Today was a Monday, which means yet another study day. Other than working on my project, I cleaned up my room, it looks almost as nice as when I got here now.

One of my host mom's friends visited, and I got to do the album routine again. We ordered pizza, that was nice. Neither my tongue or my heat is going to get used to this mayo pizza anytime soon. I swear, I'd die if I ate as much of this as I normally eat when it comes to pizza.

Sounds like the pizza has potential as a weight control diet.

Many of the recipes that I have looked up for okonomiyaki have referred to it as Japanese pizza. Maybe that is where the mayo connection comes in.

A weight control diet? Depends on which direction you want to control in.

As for connections, I guess you could look at it that way. I've long since given up on trying to justify the things you see mayo on here.

There exists a common dish here, you can find it in many lunch restaurants. I forget what it's called exactly, but it translates approximately to "parent and child." It consists of bowl with a bed of rice, chicken, and eggs, topped off with mayo. The whole family!

That's Oyakodon. It's one of my favorite things to oder at a Japanese restaurant but I've never had mayo on it.

I could be wrong about that, it's not like I've ever eaten it. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the mayo/oyakodon thing was just a Lucky Star joke. Shows what I know.
